Why AKARUP exists
A small team, one mission: equipping organizations for their transition to digital sovereignty and quantum-resistant cryptography.
AKARUP was born from a double observation. Everyday tools route sensitive data through infrastructures that neither users nor organizations control. And a deadline compounds it: what is encrypted today with classical cryptography can be decrypted tomorrow by quantum computers — what is intercepted now is simply stored, waiting.
We are building the French answer to this transition: a complete suite — messaging, Drive, server integration, and Code-to-Data — protected end-to-end by NIST-standardized post-quantum cryptography, from mobile to servers. One protocol, two interoperable implementations, one blind relay.
The post-quantum transition is not a watching brief: it is an equipment project, and the application layer already exists. AKARUP is in production on iOS, Android, and the command line, hosted in France — with methodical transparency about what is done, measured, and verified.
The team
Pascal Pommier
Founder, CEO & CTO
Pascal leads AKARUP's technical design: protocol architecture, applied cryptography, and infrastructure. His background spans security and compliance (sovereign cloud frameworks, GDPR, NIS2), high-availability cloud and multi-cloud architectures, and embedded AI with local data processing. Security never rests on a single pair of eyes: two independent implementations verify each other, and external analyses are published at every step.
Nicolas Neyroumande
CBO — business development & client relations
A physicist by training (master's degree in fundamental physics, ENS / University of Lyon I), with a specialized master's in technology management (HEC / Mines ParisTech). At Orange, Nicolas led technology projects (around €5M yearly budget) and then procurement (around €20M per year), before a multi-entrepreneur journey: telecoms, 3D, energy, AI marketing, IT services. He leads business development and relationships with client organizations.
